I am putting some shelves up in a garage. They need to be strong enough to put an amp and projector on. The shelves need to be 17 ” deep to hold these.
What fitments and shelves should I use to make them strong enough? Should I make my own brackets or would the flexi-fit type from DIY shops be ok?

Hi, you can click into http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?s=48258&v=1228&q=36058&r=61071 and search for product number
38975. They are heavy duty brackets which, if fixed securely, will hold up your stuff. Doc

Thank you for a swift response. These would suffice.

The garage will be a home cinema and, as such, is going to be a little more plush than a conventional garage. Are you aware of anything strong enough to carry a 35kg amplifier and a similarly weighted projector that is a little more aesthetic or, better still, hidden. I have trawled the net looking for something of this nature but cannot find anything that gives me a weight limit other than the ones you have mentioned. If necessary, I will you the one that you have pointed out but would like something a little better looking.

Hi, We would not recommend anything else “unseen” to do this job but once the barckets are up you could use our project called boxing in pipes to build a box around the brackets to tidy the whole thing up. You could also go one step further and, instead of a box, build a cupboard to hide the brackets which you could keep DVDs etc in.

Excellent. Thank you, once again, for a swift reply.
