What kind of mitre block or saw do I need to cut a kitchen cornice which is approx 80mm tall and leans out almost the same again. I know I need to hold firm the flat base through which the fixing screws go but holding the thing steady on my compound saw is a nightmare, especially when I am cutting a long length.

Take a look at our project in the DIY Projects section, on Coving. This page explains the tools required and you should be able to buy them from the tool store at the bottom of the page.
