Having been one of the big losers of credit crunch, MFI is set to relaunch.
The rights to the MFI brand have been bought by family run plumbing business Walker Group for a cost of £250,000, and so far they have set up a basic website saying
‘In line with ever changing retail landscape, MFI is being specifically refreshed to offer a more innovative and design led product range and shopping experience, whilst continuing the tradition of offering great choice and value for money backed up with first class customer service and support.
The MFI brand re launch promises to be one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the UK retail calendar…’
Let’s hope their relaunch improves the public perception of what the brand had become. As Which? reports, in a survey they did in 2008, just before MFI went out of business, they received ‘the lowest customer satisfaction scores in the home and garden sector.’
