DIY Doctor would like to welcome Drivewayfix to the website. They offer a full range of original products to help the homeowner repair and look after their driveway, path and patio, whether the problem is cracks, potholes, stains or just faded tarmac, they have the solution.

Great news when you realise what bad winter weather can do to concrete and tarmac sometimes. They have a DIY Pothole Repair kit, Rapid Repair kit for filling cracks and holes in concrete, Stain Away to remove oil and grease marks, Drive Revive to tart up a faded driveway, and several products to help when laying your patio or path.

It’s a great time of year to get outside and do some of these repairs and outdoor projects, so take a look at our Driveway and Path project and discover Drivewayfix.

While DIY Doctor is at the Ideal Home Show we have been looking around at the trends for next season in the home. Here are the 3 hot tips for interiors:

Floral abundance – mix bright floral fabrics with cushions, rugs and other soft furnishings and set them off with light neutral walls and floors to create a room that is full of style and character.

Sea Breeze – take inspiration from beach-front living with weathered whitewashed wood, and striped fabrics in neutral shades and washed-out blues. Then kick back and relax in this calm environment, perfect antidote to today’s fast pace of living!

Functional fifties –post war interiors were all about pared-down style and streamlined profiles, rediscover this look with blonde wood, teak and rosewood furniture teamed with graphic style prints and Scandinavian ceramics.

Linda Barker is presenting in the ‘How To’ theatre today at 11.30, 1.30 and 3.30, with her own tips for how to transform your interiors incorporating your own style.

DIY Doctor will also be on stage giving expert advice on How to Avoid Cowboy Builders at 12.30, How to Skim Plaster at 2.30 and How to Tile a Bathroom (in association with TileTracker) at 4.30.
