Cuprinol have come up with a power sprayer to make spraying their fence spray paint very easy – if anyone has large expanses of timber to protect this is a great tool to make the job easier.

Equally if you live in a house with a rose garden this would make an industrial grade insect buster – if you like to blast greenfly with soapy water. Obviously don’t use it for both or your roses won’t thank you!

There are a couple of warnings for use from Mike so do watch the video to see what he suggests.

Video is the web’s best product selling tool.

Surveys released by Reelseo, the web’s guide to online business video, show clearly that attaching a video to your product increases the chance of a sale considerably.

At DIY Doctor we have been promoting the idea of video product reviews for over 12 months and are now pleased to announce the birth of our own video product review service run by Home Improvement Doctor Ltd.

In an earlier post we looked at workboots and now we are moving up to trousers.

Our CEO Mike Edwards can’t claim to be the Gok Wan of the Home Improvement world, but he can say whether it is worthwhile buying specialist workwear. Obviously these items are made from durable materials and often include extra pockets, double stitching and padded knees. Also if you have dedicated work clothes you wont ruin your everyday clothes when you are DIYing.

We can’t promise these trousers won’t give you a builders-bum, but hopefully you are less likely to suffer in these than in your trendy jeans (which seem to include waistbands halfway down your buttocks before you even start wriggling into awkward spaces!).

At the Southern Homebuilding and Renovating Show last month the Tiling a Bathroom presentation was one of the most popular demonstrations. Presenter Mike Edwards of DIY Doctor took questions from the audience afterwards, and there are always questions about replacing and reseating taps.

If you need to prune trees you may be interested to hear about this nifty little pole saw that allows you to cut through branches without climbing ladders.

There are some cautionary notes in the use of this saw, which is reviewed for DIY Doctor by one of the green-keepers at Orchardleigh Golf Course in Somerset. Don’t forget to protect external power supplies with an RCD to guard you against electrocution.
