How to Avoid Cowboy Builders Seminar Presentation
With the National Homebuilding and Renovating Show at the NEC over for another year the DIY Doctor team has had a few minutes to reflect on the past few days and have hailed the show a great success!
Again, the team would like to thank all the visitors to the show and also the great many that attended the seminar presentations on “How to Skim Plaster” and “How to Avoid Cowboy Builders” held by DIY Doctor founder Mike Edwards at the Tricks of the Trade stage for their feedback.
In the short time since the end of the show the DIY Doctor office has received a great many requests for more information on both seminar topics, especially on avoiding cowboy builders.

Master Basic DIY - Now available on Kindle
The Master Basic DIY book written by Mike ‘DIY Doctor’ Edwards, is now available for your Kindle via Amazon.
‘A genuinely valuable document. It is full of information on subjects both large and small and gives advice, not only on how work should be done, but also why and why not it should be carried out in particular ways. I especially like the Insights and Tips stressing brief points, often on safety or expert tricks of the trade. One of the few books on DIY that is well worth reading as well as keeping for reference.’ (Review from Alan Wenman)

Teach Yourself Basic DIY
12 months ago DIY Doctor wrote a book called Teach Yourself Basic DIY. The book was written as part of the 60 year old Teach Yourself series. Teach Yourself, working with Hodder Publishing, are now moving into the Internet and digital reading. In April 2010 the book will be relaunched in digital version and we hope to host it on the website.
We would love to hear from anyone who has bought, or been given this book. So far it has sold over 4000 copies so some-one out there must have seen it !
