2 sets of spurs from celing light

Post by robertj76 » Thu Mar 08, 2007 12:30 pm

I have just brought anew ceiling light for the lounge. When taking down the old ceiling wire, there are two sets of spurs coming down. So i have two sets of red, 2 black an two yellow & green wires. In the old light fitting, one spur went into loop and the other into flex. Can both of these spurs be attached to the new fitting?

Take a look at the electrical projects on the website Robert, especially replacing a light fittin. You need an understanding of how the circuit works to make safe decisions re joining wires.
