    2-way light switch in bedroom

    I am replacing a pull-switch over the bed (the main switch is by the door)

    There are two wires from the ceiling into the pull switch - one with black red & earth, the other a single red.

    The new fitting has earth plus three connections - L1, L2 and Com-L

    Which takes which wires please?

    The twin cable go in l1 & l2 makes no difference which way. The singe in to the common.

    Hi very old wiring method but most likely single red to Com. red& blk to L1 & L2, if in doubt look in wall switch. it should look similar, it is Live in to Com, 2 'strappers between switches & sw.Line to light from pull sw,
