Adding a second consumer unit???

by sherry » Fri Sep 19, 2008 5:45 pm

Hi.

I am hoping someone can give me some advice.

I have a garage that i want to get power to. I would like to add sockets for tools such as a compressor ect and lights and an electric door.

I have no other spare RCB's on my consumer unit and i was wondering is it ok to add a second consumer unit and if so what is the best way to do it.

Many thanks.

easy, use a registered electrician as adding fuse board, outside wiring, adding new circuits are all reportable under bldg regs. 'Part-P' & not DIY work.
