Adding a spur to run cable to outside socket

Postby lmikosz » Fri May 11, 2007 10:11 am

Hello, can anyone tell me whether there are special regs regarding adding a spur that will run to an external power socket. Also, whilst I understand fully how to add one spur how do you add two spurs in order to have a double socket?

A spur can be 1 single or 1 double socket on one 2.5mm cable.
You do know of course you can't fit outside socket yourself as this is a 'controlled service' under bldg regs part p,

Sheesh, part P is pretty restrictive. Would an Electrical Engineer for the CAA be able to self certify?
