Advice on removing hot air flue

by loopy9 » Fri Dec 28, 2007 7:51 pm

Hi there,

I'm new here and wondered if someone could give me some advice.

I've just bought a house and in one of the spare bedrooms is an unused hot air flue (the house has central heating so this flue/duct is not used). Therefore I would like to remove it to make the bedroom larger. I was wondering whether I should be wary about anything? Obviously I will have to make good the floor and ceiling once removed but is there anything else I should think about?

I'm a newbie DIY'er too so any tips on how I should go about this project would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Lou
