aeriel splitter

Post by griff » Mon Jul 23, 2007 9:06 pm

I have installed a 6 - way splitter in my loft and the reception has deteriated each time I add to it.
On the splitter the words 'Power Pass' are written onto one of the routes.
Can anyone let me know what this means and if it will improve the picture if I do something with it!

Not sure how accurate this is, but I believe that if you have a masthead amplifier, then you should connect it to the port labelled power pass. This is to power it, which in theory will improve your signal.

It sounds like you need an amplifier of some sort, or another ariel, to help things out.

If it is only a splitter then the more you add the weaker the signal will get... You'll need a booster box to get a decent signal!
