air lock in pump

by roganbloom » Sun Feb 10, 2008 11:11 am

I used to have an occasional problem with air in the system which sometimes caused the pump not to start running when turned on. bleeding air from the pump solved the problem but now this is happening regularly although there does not appear to be air inthe system i.e. cannot hear air in system and when rads are vented no air is expelled, all rads hot. Any suggestions

If all radiators are getting hot - then the pump isn't airlocked.

Vent all radiators and vent pump, try turning pump down to setting II if on III and see if it makes any difference.
