all the lights have gone

Post by dorkusmalorkus » Sun Jun 01, 2008 7:23 pm

hi, just posting for some advice. the bulb in my living room blew last night and its knocked out the lights in every other room. just the lights, everything else is fine and i've replaced the living room bulb. the problem is, i looked at my fuse box in the hall but it all seems fine, there is no button popped out or anything.
does anyone have any suggestions what it could be or what else i can try because basically i dont know what i'm looking for

cheers, Davy.

I would expect one of the trips in your consumer unit (fuse box) has tripped but the button has failed to show. Lights are normally covered with a 6 amp trip on a Wylex box this will be white. I would manually trip the 5/6 amp breakers and reset.
