Alternatives to taking off wallpaper from a ceiling?

Hi
We have wallpaper on EVERY ceiling in our house-apparently it was fashionable at some time??!! We would rather not have to strip each and every one but what other alternatives do we have? Any miracle cures-heh!

NO MIRACLE CURES AND IT MAY ALSO BE COVERING A MULTITUDE OF SINS SO TO SPEAK!!!

TRY STRIPPING ONE ROOM CIELING TO DISCOVER BOTH HOW EASY IT COMES OFF AND WHAT SINS IT IS MASKING.

THEN TAKE IT FROM THERE AT YOUR OWN PACE.

only other option would be to try to pick up the joists, line with plasterboard and skim.
