Any tips for changing the Bathroom taps - hard to reach nut

    Postby PD » Sun Oct 26, 2008 11:14 am

    Dear All,

Does anyone have any tips for reaching a hard to reach nut to change the taps on the bath. The gap to get through is very small and I cannot see the nut. I have a standard tap plumbing spanner, which is too big to fit into the space.

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean by standard tap plumbing spanner ?

Something like this should do the trick.

If this is what you're using, you could try: disconnecting the pipes from the taps, then (if possible) turn the tap, once loose you should be able to get your hand in to hold the nut and turn the tap to undo - although getting the new taps tight may prove difficult.
