WHEN FITTING NEW SKIRTING HOW DO I FIND WOODEN BATONS BEHIND PLASTERBOARD AS IT IS NOT VISIBLE TRIED POT LUCK BUT CANT GET ANYTHING SOLID TO ATTACH TOO HOW FAR IN ARE THEY

No-ones uses anything but no-nails to secure skirting these days.

try knocking a anail in @ 15 min intervals 1-2" below the top of the skirting line! once u hit a stud they are normally 400 - 450 mm centres apart! if u worried about hitting and services like pipes/ cables get a stud detector
