B&Q Toilet To Go Dual Flush Stuck!

The silver dual flush button on the toilet is stuck and the cistern will not stop filling. I have turned the water off and taken the flush mechanism apart. There is a piece of wire unattached to the spring and I need to know how and where the wire should attach to the plastic white plunger (spring?). Any help much appreciated.
