What type of system ?
Is there power to the programmer ?

If there's power to the gas valve - solenoid at fault.

htg[/quote]yes there is power to the programmer,it is a back boiler and the pilot light has not went off, also unscrewed the top of the pump to check that it was working as it seemed quiet but it seems to be working.??

Gravity HW ?

It sound like the solenoid on the gas valve is to blame - it's not the pump a fault.
