BALLAST PROBLEM - KEEPS BLOWING

Hi,
i have a large light fitting in a shop which holds two 70watt flourescent tubes
these are run off a PHILIPS HF PERFORMER BALLAST i have had to have the ballast replaced but when it was done the ballast blow within 10 mins

the fitting is new and only been in around 5 months

the person who fitted the ballast is a site electrician but could not tell me why the ballast blow the first time or why this one had blown
any info would be helpfull

Hi, don't know why original ballast died, but is replacement correct rating for your 6Foot high frequency fitting or standard 5Foot type?

Hi its a 6 Foot high frequency fitting 2 x 70watt tubes, one on each side of the fitting,
the ballast put in was a

HF-Performer II TLD 2x70watt Philips Ballast

is there anything in the fitting that would cause the ballast to blow
