Bat Survey

Hi,

I've had planning granted for a barn conversion however the permission contains a condition that a bat survey should be carried out.

Our architect has told us the bat survey will only be checked if we come to sell, does anyone know if this is true?

If not then at what point is the presence of a completed and passed survey actually checked?

I would be surprised if that's correct. Give the local planning office a call to check as things like this can differ in certain areas.
