bathroom accessories problem

by notveryhandywife » Tue Jul 29, 2008 2:10 pm

The previous tennant of the flat has taken all the wall-mounted bathroom accessories (toothbrush holder, toiletroll holder, towel ring etc) with him,but left the holes in the walls
Are these products all made to fit standard sizes?
Can we just buy new acessories and matching wallplugs and attach them to the existing holes?
or would we have to drill the wall again?
mored etails:
The wall is very soft (a little bit like paper mache) and sheds
small flakes on the floor
i fear drilling it again may damage it
there are no tiles in the room, just plain wall
(or i'd get the type of accessories that have suction cups)

Just fill the holes with filler and and when dry. If the walls soft and flaky sounds like the whole wall could do with a look at. If its in a bathroom has it been subject to a lot of moisture like shower or steam from a bath? Hope this helps
