bathroom basin

hi we are looking at bathroom basins and thought about one which sits on top of a vanity unit,question is what stops it from moving about or even toppling over.thank you.

They normally rely on the silicone sealant seal to fix the basins in place. It is a very secure method of fixing. I broke a worktop the other week trying to remove a sink I had only temporarily fixed in place.

Sometimes the basins have fixing brackets underneath.
