bathroom ceiling rose

can somebody help iam replacing a broken rose i have four main wires coming from the roof with the reds and blacks etc but there is one that has a yellow cable in with a red sleeve is this a live cable
theres an extractor in the bathroom linked in to the switch could thios be for that
help with the whole wiring of a new rose would also be helpful as iam a bit useless

HI daveydw, hope you haven't yet disconnected the old wiring!!!
You should have 4 reds together, not connected to your light just in loop in terms, these being L in, L out to next light, L to switch, L to fan .
then 2 blks + 1 blue going to Neutral of light, these being N in , N out to next light, N (blue) to fan.
yellow + blk(with red tape/sleeving) which are sw.live back to L of light + sw L (Yellow) to fan. the one to note is which blk is with the yellow, if you get the blks mixed up or all together....BANG!!!
