Bathroom Tap-no hot water

by meday » Thu Jan 03, 2008 12:30 am

There is no hot water coming from my bathroom basin tap but the bath tap is fine. Does this mean that it is NOT an airlock and the tap is the problem or could it still be an airlock? I had this a couple of months ago and ran a shower attachment from the cold to the hot and this worked but I've tried this again today and no luck? Any advice please

airlock or blockage from the sound of it
if it is possible to disconnect the pipe work from the tap i would then install a isolating valve(water turned off) shut of the isolating valve turn water back on then open isolating valve ,getting ready to catch water somehow and see what the flow is like, give it a good blast, check the tap clean out if required reassemble take it from there
