baxi 105e pressure loss

Post by trevor » Sun Dec 12, 2010 2:51 pm

hi
my boiler is constantly lossing pressure when cold, hot water & central heating are both working fine, i keep topping up via the filling loop to 1.0 bar but when the system is not being used the pressure drops to 0.5 or below , i have checked for leaks, puzzling thing is where is the extra water going ?
i was told that it could be the diaphagm needs re-pressurising using a footpump, what would i need to do if this is the case ?
thanks
trevor.

that would only be the case if the pressure rises to above 3 bar when hot ans discharges via PRV.

If you lose pressure when CH and HW are not used, and the pressure does not rise at any point - there's a leak check pressure relief valve.
