Pilot lites but goes out when turn knob to next position. Thermostat trip switch has been reset but still does not resolve the problem. For information this started after I removed and replaced two radiators to clean them through and I completely drained the whole system to do this. Before trying to restart my boiler, the heating system was refilled and air bleeded from all radiators.

Hi Bunts,

You seem to be describing a permanent pilot that will not stay lit?

If so , the thermocouple has failed, approx £6 + fitting

Thanks for advice. Thermocouple changed but still not working. Engineer called and replaced the boiler thermostat which did the trick.
