Best paint to go over areas affected by condensation.

Post by Clouseau » Sat Jan 09, 2016 10:30 am

Hi – newbie here!

We’ve had a problem with condensation around the inside of our bedroom windows and have started using de-humidifiers to try and reduce the problem. We’ve used them for a month or so now, they’ve done some good but the problem doesn’t go away completely. So we’re still left with mould appearing on the paintwork and when we try and wipe it clean it takes such a lot of scrubbing that the paint just comes off. Someone has suggested to me that painting over it with masonry paint might be a good idea instead of the usual emulsion as this is easier to wipe clean. Does anyone think this is a good idea or does anyone know of any other solutions to this?

Thanks.

Hi I always recommend a good Matt eggshell, dulux diamond Matt eggshell is hard wearing and can be mixed to any colour.
Hope this helps.
