best wood flooring adhesive

:( Hi there, can anybody help me my husband is about to attempt to lay a solid oak flooring on to an old concrete floor, we know we need a self leveling compound,also a good adhesive is there anybody out there that has used either or both we want to know whats the best to buy any suggestions gratefully received.
