Black mildew stains in attic

I recently purchased a 26 yr home and when I went into attic I noticed that the dryer vent had broke and where it had broke there was black mildew in the or 3 rafter spaces close to the break. I was wondering if anyone was aware of product or procedure to to remove this balck staining. Maybe since its in the attic and if it doesn't pose a future problem then just leave it and it will go away as the duct was repaired ?

Just leave it and see if it still presents an issue by mid summer.
