My CH has suddenly stopped working in that operation of the room thermostat no longer fires the boiler. The thermostat seems to "click" as you would expect, but when you call for heat, there is no firing of the boiler. We have ample supplies of hot water but no heat. Is this as simple as a replacement as a new room thermostat is required, or something more sinister such as a motorised valve not operating correctly and therefore always calling for hot water?

Probably three port valve/motorised valve at fault.
