BOILER NOT LEVEL!

Post by steve tav » Tue Sep 29, 2009 12:40 pm

Hi could someone advise me on a new boiler we've just had installed?

The boiler is not level and slopes down to the right, could this be dangerous in anyway? also the fitter has screwed the bottom of the boiler to the wall but he had to nail the top into the wall!

Thanx

Did you confirm the installers registration before letting him loose in your home. Gas boiler nailed to the wall is anything but safe. I would suggest you shut the boiler down and isolate the gas supply immediately and have the whole install checked over by a confirmed Gas Safe Registered engineer or company. The possibilities here are frightening.

Not sure about the safety aspect, but it sounds like a bodge.
Most boilers hang on a back panel which is pre-fitted and should be screwed
