Boiler Water needs filling up

Post by blackpool pete » Fri Jan 11, 2008 6:34 pm

Hi There, I have a worcester combi boiler which i just use for central heating. The problem i have is the water has to be topped up on a regular basis. I can not find any leaks inside but i have noticed water is running from the overflow pipe outside. Is this normal or do i have a problem with the boiler. Many thanks

check the pressure gauge if this is on 1.0 - 1.5 and the pipe outside is leaking, then you need to renew the pressure relief valve.

If the pressure rises regularly or when the heating is used could be a problem with pressure vessel or plate heat-ex.
