boiler wont switch off ?

i have a worsester bosch 240 combi boiler.when i try to turn off the boiler by the control button it wont switch off .i have to turn off by the plug.can anyone help ?

Is there a frost stat that is turned up too high?

thanks to marrtin for reply what is a frost stat and where is it on worcester bosch 240

The frost stat would be separate to the boiler and look similar to a room thermostat, but should be set between 3 and 6 degrees C.

If the boiler is in the garage or loft space, the stat will be close by. Follow the wires.

If none of your system is in an unheated area and therefore less prone to frost damage, then probably a frost stat is not fitted and you have a different problem.
