Building garage were garage was

by Mordzy » Thu Aug 02, 2012 9:30 pm

I'm wanting to build a garage on my land. I have noticed on the land registry plans for the plot I own there is an outline were a building has been in the past. After finding an aerial picture online from 1999 I found out it used to be a garage. Checked with neighbour to confirm.

My question is do I need planing permission to re erect something that has been there before and is on the plans? The previous owner must have demolished it.

bit of a grey area,If your building it exactly the same size then I would say no,But if it was me I would take what paperwork you have to the planning dept with a plan and ask
