building regs: room height

by vonspritz » Wed Sep 09, 2009 9:58 am

Hi
I am doing some drawings for a self build two storey extension. Are there any regs about the minimum height between floor & ceiling? Is it the same for ground & 1st floor? Thanks in advance for any info.
I'd like to be able to look this stuff up for myself...anyone know where to find it?
Cheers

Hi

Just saw your post.

There is no minimum height for domestic rooms.

Height is an issue around stairs and in circulation spaces when assessing fire escape.

Google "http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/england/professionals/en/1115314110382.html"
