building regulations for a conservatory on a piled house
our house foundations have been piled due to susidance less than 3 years ago and we are having a conservatory built we have been advised by the company that is doing the work that the conservatory does not need piling, also there is a protection order on a poplar tree less than 70 feet from our house which overhangs our garden, the conservatory will be less than 50 feet from the base of the tree. the size of the conservatory will be 3 metres by 5 metres, can anyone advise us on the legal requirements on the foundations of the conservatory
petert147,
The only person who can advise you is the person doing the ground works. If the company doing the work have claimed that piling is not required before they have dug trial foundations then be very suspicious. end
