Buying materials in these or any other EU country is a matter of picking it & pay for it. However, while it may be cheaper to do this, what happens if you have problems or you want to return something??!! While you may have recourse with faulty goods, it's a major hassle if an item of sanitaryware breaks two years down the line. As with many UK sanitaryware suppliers, many items are manufactured in the far east & imported.
    Good luck, you'll need it.

France - bricodepot.fr good for shower units taps etc
you will need different tap connections here tho
best sower units to go for are the self sealing type, full enclosures from 250 euros
