Can I Paint My Water Heater??

Post by hitchinapple » Sun Dec 06, 2009 7:04 pm

hi everyone. ive just decorated the kitchen-looks good, apart from the ugly water heater up on the wall. it's a small one. wondering if i can paint it so it blends in with the rest. any advice, please?

No reason why not - just use a paint that doesn't mind getting hot to the extent that it either bursts into flames or peels off in great chunks.

Alternativelyu you could box it in and paint the box in whatever you like.

Cheers

painting water heater

thank you for your advice, rosebery. it has a label on it stating that it's a low temperature boiler. therefore do you think i could get away with painting it with 'wickes master' emulsion, which is what ive used on the surrounding wall?
