Can't open garage door

Hi alll,

This is my first post on here although I always come here to have look when I get stuck. I have done something really stupid and need some help. I was fitting some bolt type locks to my up and over garage door, in order to drill some of the holes required I removed the bar that goes from the lock in the middle of the door to the lock mechanism at the bottom corner of the door. Then you guessed it I shut the door for the rest drilling from the outside, and now it won't open as the lock has locked and there is no connection to the handle in middle of the door. Is there anyway I can open the door from the outside apart from bursting it open. Sorry for long post.

The only way to open it with minimum damage, is to locate the locking pins/bars at top of door and force/prise them out with a large flat head screwdriver or chisel.
