candle stain

Hi to all. I had an orange candle sat on my wooden fire place and it has stained the wood. i have tried removing it using an iron with brown paper and have also tried vinegar but none of these have worked. it is not actually candle wax but just a coloured stain. can any one help me with this. thankyou
