Cannon Camberley oven timer

The timer button on my Cannon Camberley 10106G has come out and will not push back in properly. Is it possible to remove the front control panel to see what is happening underneath the plate? As this button controls the time display, if the power is switched off I don't think that I would be able to start the clock, which needs to be on to allow gas into the main oven.
