Cavity wall insulation and loft insulation

by rabcnesbit » Sun Nov 14, 2010 1:14 pm

Hello. Been getting some flyers from British Gas of recent promoting the above for from £199 each (making from £398 for both) for a standard 3-bed house. My questions are:

1. Is this good value for money?
2. Are there any cons (disadvantages) of cavity wall insulation that I should be aware of?

Thanks

the government is giving away grants for cavity and wall insulation
you may qualify for a grant, check with your local authority.
The advert says FROM £199 so get a price before signing anything.
with cavity wall insulation you are bridging the cavity so you may get damp patches, check what product they are using.
The overall picture though is its well worth it...
