Ceiling Rose

by DV » Mon Oct 01, 2007 11:58 am

Hi,

I am connecting a new light which has a connector block with 4 connections but I have 9 wires coming out of the ceiling - how do I know which one goes where?

I can see that one of the black wires is tagged with a red sleeve indicating that this is the wire for the switch?

any advice appreciated as to which of the 9 wires goes to which of the 4 connectors on the new light

Same answer as in the other thread. Look at the pic in the project on this site.

Cheers

Hi DV, no prob as you have the right sw. wire marked,
the red sleeved blk goes to live of light, the other blks go to the Neutral of light, & all reds go in spare term block not connected to light, this may be the 4th one provided for you, regards

WE have many electrical projects which describe exactly how a ceiling rose is wired. Go to the projects section
