Ceiling slab

Hello, First post here, My brother had someone in to re-slab his ceiling as water damage from the attic caused it to crack. They were short one slab and can no longer be contacted, I would like to know how I can finish this off myself, It looks simple enough but any advice would be welcome, Thanks Painter123.
