Central heating and hot water not working

by DaveB75 » Wed Nov 07, 2007 7:40 am

Good morning

I hope someone can help. Awoke this morning and discoverd no hot water or heating. The timer has not moved since last night. The boiler did not ignite when I switched too constant, therefore no heating either.

I have had to change a fuse in the past and this has solved the problem. But this time there appears to be a slight water leakage coming from under what I think is the Motorised Valve(?) Could this have blown the fuse. Leak is small. The metal plate that this sits on is also very coroded.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Could be the timer has packed in, if you are competant with electrics by-pass the time clock electrically and see if this starts things moving. If so replace the timer
