Central Heating Pressure

by tomonl » Fri Dec 16, 2011 6:05 pm

Hi

I have a Alpha CB28 boiler.

When cold the pressure is around 1 bar as it should be.

What should the pressure be when the system has been running at a high temp for a while? At the moment mine is around 2.5 bar, is this too high?

All the rads have been bleed so there isnt any air in the system.

Thanks

A rise from 1.0 to 2.5bar when hot suggests the boiler pressure vessel may need to be re-pressurised. You would not normally expect the pressure to rise much above 1.5 bar from 1.0 when cold.
