Post by dave m » Sat Mar 24, 2007 8:25 am

hi have a y plan heating system at the moment can have hot water / only/or central heating/hotwater together. it has a 3 port mid posostion valve and seperate stats for room /hotwater /frost .is it possibly to upgrade programer and modify wiring to have seperate control over heating /hotwater. is this a simple programe change/ wiring configeration or is there plumbing involved cheers

depending on make/model of the valve, it could be just a prog update plus reconfigure wiring at prog.
presume the one you have has two horizontal sliders?
Is it a true Y plan using all one make of equipment ie Honeywell, if so quite straightforward mod, if various makes not so easy
