Central Heating - Water flow noise

by DavidL » Sun Apr 15, 2007 3:05 pm

Sytem consists of Bosch Combi Boiler, Aluminium Rads. When system heats the rads, an irritating noise like that of water flow occurs. I have tried adjusting the flow through the rads and this reduces the noise, but does not stop it. Does any one have any ideas or a cure as its driving me nuts.

Central heating-water flow noises

I would suggest you contact BOSCH CUSTOMER SERVICES, and ask if there is any way of isolating pump noise generated by the boiler, from reaching your radiators. Undoubtedly aluminium will emit more noise than steel, but perhaps a length of large-bore hep2o plastic plumbing in the right places would help.
