CHANGING LIGHT FAN FITTING TO NEW LIGHT FITTING
I HAVE WIRED ALL RED ,BLACK,EARTH WIRES AS WERE IN OLD FITTING I HAVE SPARE BLACK WIRE WHICH I PRESUME IS SWITCH WIRE BUT NOT MARKED LIGHT STAYS PERMANENTLY ON . DO I CONNECT THIS BLACK WIRE TO LIVE ON FITTING SIDE?
In projects section there are diagrams. The main problem with DIY repairs is often the sleeve to show the black or blue wire is a switched line wire has fallen off and one has to carefully note which one it is. Normally non of the red or brown wires go to the lamp. Easier to look at pictures in projects.
